To play Ultimate, you don't need very much to get started.

You need:

1.a flat surface(preferably a football field but really anywhere flat is OK in a pinch.)

 

2.a Frisbee

3. 10X cones to mark the field(even 8 would work but I like the middle of the field to be marked on the sidelines).

4.Cleats Soccer shoes: if you slipping left and right we recommend you buy some nice Cleats, you're thank us later.

In addition, every player should bring a dark colored shirt and a white shirt. It is important for sorting out who is visually on your team if you are playing with a group of new people. This is so when they catch a disc they just have to look up and at a glance they know their teammates by the color of their shirts.

Another thing that you could get but isn't super necessary is a portable scoreboard. Often times when we scrimmage at training or for fun at pickup, we don't even keep score.
